I’m a passionate and open-minded leader with extensive policy, program, project and people management skills that I have acquired in both commercial and public sectors over 20+ years of my professional career. My competence in large-scale digital IT transformation programs, product and service developments, public procurement tenders, and multi-national research projects led to significant business impacts at research and innovation actors across Europe and beyond. I follow my engineering mind-set as a global stakeholder engagement specialist and open-source community organizer, predominantly in the public sector, higher education and research industry segment. I’m a result driven team player who is always motivated by challenge where I can efficiently translate strategic objectives and business goals into executable actions. I have a self-starting and self-motivating approach, I’m able to work independently across a global enterprise with awareness and sensitivity to global cultural variations and political situation.
Currently, I work for the European Commission on open science (EOSC), high performance computing (HPC) and research network connectivity (GÉANT).
At Oracle, I was a solution engineer and cloud architect for the Nordics region and later joined the Digital Transformation Specialist team at EMEA level where I was focusing on public sector, education and research market engagement. I coordinated Oracle's response to the OCRE Cloud Framework public procurement tender of GÉANT.
At GÉANT Association (formerly known as TERENA), I contributed to policy definition and implementation of the GÉANT Community Program for Higher Education & Research in the area of cloud technology and educational services across Europe, in liaison with the European Commission. I'm an experienced EC project coordinator (principal investigator) and open-source community builder with the necessary leadership and interpersonal skills.
At Deutsche Telekom subsidiary in Hungary (called Magyar Telekom) I architected and designed all-optical transport networks and connectivity services for strategic countries in the Balkan region. Early on, I participated in network research projects and large scale network procurements.
I'm holding PRINCE2, TOGAF, CCNA and ITIL Intermediate Certificate in IT Continual Service Improvement, trained and experienced in Managing People in Virtual Teams (MPiVT) I also completed an MBA Masterclass and I confidently communicate up to C-level. I received my MSc degree in Electrical Engineering at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, in Hungary, in 2002. I worked towards a PhD at the Department of Telecommunications.
