Peter Szegedi has an engineering background in the telecommunications industry an 12+ years management experience in the public education and research sector in Europe. Currently, he is working for Oracle Digital - EMEA Tech North as a Cloud Solution Engineer and Business Architect (pre-sales) in Amsterdam. Peter is acting as a Trusted Adviser to the VP, public sector, education and research industry.

Previously, at GÉANT Association (formerly known as TERENA) 2008-2018, he contributed to policy definition and implementation of the GÉANT Community Programme in the are of clouds and educational services support across Europe and beyond, in liaison with the European Commission. At Deutsche Telekom`s subsidiary in Hungary (called Magyar Telekom) 2002-2008, he architected and designed all-optical transport networks and connectivity services for strategic countries in the Balkan region.

Peter holds an ITIL Intermediate Certificate in IT Continual Service Improvement and he is trained and experienced in Managing People in Virtual Teams (MPiVT). Peter Szegedi received his MSc degree in Electrical Engineering at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, in Hungary, in 2002. He then worked towards a PhD at the Department of Telecommunications.
